About

Maz and Lucy both grew up the kids of small business owners. They saw first hand the toll being a small business owner can take and the hard work their parents put into making their businesses a success.

Fast forward to 10 years working in an industry that prioritised the big fish and they decided they wanted to build a firm for businesses like their parents and like theirs. One that see’s the potential for small businesses to create big impacts and strives to make tax, accounting, and business advice accessible to everyone.

At Altr we want to build a new generation of accounting. We're not afraid to embrace innovation, sharing both our successes and failures to help you build an awesome business in a world full of endless opportunities.

We believe that everyone (no matter how small) deserves quality, proactive tax advice to make sure you’re paying the taxman exactly what you owe, and not a cent more!

Lucy has 10 years+ experience in Tax & Accounting, with a special place in her heart for small and micro businesses. Lucy has a knack for making the hard stuff seem simple and as the co-founder of ALTR is the person you want by your side navigating the small business world.

Maree (Maz) Jones

Director , CA, Tax Agent

90’s kid | Big foodie | Loves a cappuccino | Nerds out over tax and insists it’s cool | Mum to an active toddler.

Maz has 10 years+ experience in the Tax & Accounting industry, helping her clients grow from start-ups to successful small businesses, smashing it in their respective fields. Maz is our founding partner building a community of small and micro businesses by creating ALTR.
